In Ancient Egypt, it was belived that the heart recorded all the good and bad deeds of a person’s life and that after a person died, their heart was weighed against the feather of Ma’at ( the Goddess of Truth and Justice). I did this painting when my grandmother passed away in 2016, placing the heart above the feather, depicting the beautiful heart she had.
